The Louis Vuitton Escale au Mont Fuji pocket watch expands the brand’s Escales Autour du Monde collection with a scene inspired by a spring sunrise over Japan’s Mount Fuji. The dial features intricate enamel work created using 33 distinct colors and multiple traditional techniques to produce a soft gradient sky above the mountain landscape. Crafted at La Fabrique du Temps in Geneva, the watch is housed in a 50-millimeter white gold case engraved with Seigaiha wave patterns and subtle Monogram flowers. The bezel is set with 60 baguette-cut colored sapphires arranged in a gradient that echoes the tones of the enamel dial.
A Jacquemart automata system animates the dial through four mechanical movements. A gold compass rose rotates at 12 o’clock while a wooden fishing boat glides across the scene carrying miniature Louis Vuitton trunks that open to reveal Monogram flowers. The mythical Japanese figure Ebisu steers the boat among gold cherry blossom appliqués. Powering the watch is the manual-winding LFT AU14.03 caliber composed of 561 components and offering an eight-day power reserve.
