The Best Place in Japan No One Told you #1— The Taro Okamoto Museum of Art
This might be the best place in Tokyo no one talks about.
When people think of Tokyo, they imagine neon lights, crowds, and endless entertainment.
But there’s another side of the city—quiet, intense, and deeply human.
The Taro Okamoto Museum of Art isn’t just a museum.
It’s a space filled with raw energy, contradiction, and questions about what it means to truly live.
Okamoto Taro believed that art should explode.
Not to decorate life—but to challenge it.
This video is the first episode of a series where I introduce incredible places in Tokyo that almost no one talks about.
Places that reveal something deeper about Japan, beyond the surface.
If you’re interested in the Tokyo you never see,
this series is for you.

岡本太郎さん?ええ、彼の作品は知っています。でも、動画で言及されていた場所は初めて聞きました。興味深いですね。
活動おつかれです!
Those playing cards are a must have!
Honestly every country has their own hidden gems. True most of the Japan that we see are just tourist hyped locations but sometimes the true beauty lies in the hidden untouched regions. As someone who one day wants to see these hidden gems, this was a very insightful video. Happy New Year and keep up the good work 🎉❤
This looks like a great museum to visit, thank you for sharing the art work!
Great tips
Great to know
I usually don't prefer museums but this looks very interesting. ありがとうございます!
Thanks for this. I'll be staying in Kawasaki soon and I want to see this museum. Their gift store merchandise looks really affordable. I also researched that htere are more attractions in that area. Now I have to redo my itinerary and add one more day for touring Kawasaki. I hope you make more of these kinds of videos.
Thank you for introducing us to Tarō Okamoto, I really like his artwork 😌🙏
