Exploring Kagoshima, Japan π―π΅ | Tenmonkan, Shrines, Gardens & Local Food
We spent our last full day in Kagoshima wandering through the city β from ramen in Tenmonkan to a surprise visit to Terukuni Shrine during Shichi-Go-San, and an afternoon exploring the beautiful gardens of Sengan-en.
This was one of those full, layered days in Japan β good food, quiet shrine moments, historic streets, and ending the night with local Kagoshima dishes.
Sometimes the best travel days arenβt the dramatic ones. Theyβre the ones where you simply walk, eat, explore, and let the place unfold.
