Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a visual novel adventure game developed by Spike Chunsoft and originally released for the PlayStation Portable in 2012, later arriving on PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Windows, and other platforms. Serving as the direct sequel to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, it follows a new cast of sixteen Ultimate students trapped on the tropical Jabberwock Island by Monokuma.

The students are forced into a killing game where the only escape is to murder a classmate and survive the ensuing class trial. The protagonist, Hajime Hinata, must navigate increasingly complex murders, gather evidence, and participate in trials that blend logic puzzles, cross-examinations, and minigames.

The series has sold over ten million units worldwide.
