All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline and a 5-Star airline for 13 consecutive years, today announces changes to its board. 

Juichi Hirasawa, Representative Director, Senior Executive Vice President, will succeed Shinichi Inoue as President and CEO from April 1, 2026 while Mr. Inoue will become Senior Advisor of ANA HOLDINGS INC. on the same date. 

Mr. Hirasawa graduated from Keio University and joined ANA in 1986. During his tenure with the ANA Group, he has held multiple positions mainly business planning and corporate strategy. Notably, as an Executive Officer since 2018, he played a pivotal role in formulating and executing management strategies, effectively navigating the company through the crisis caused by COVID-19. He currently serves as Representative Director and Executive Vice President of ANA HOLDINGS INC., focusing primarily on industrial policy, government affairs, and economic security. He is aged 62. 

Mr. Inoue was appointed President and CEO of ANA in April 2022. Under his leadership,

ANA overcame the COVID-19 crisis and contributed to the Group’s record-high operating revenue in FY2024, while maintaining its SKYTRAX 5-Star rating. He has steered ANA back to a growth trajectory as a leading global airline, with a continued priority on safety.
