How I Beat the Crowds in Fantasy Springs (No Vacation Package) | Tokyo DisneySea
Is staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel actually worth the price to save time? 🏰
The crowds at Tokyo DisneySea can be a nightmare, with waits for Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey and Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival easily topping 140 minutes. In this video, I’m testing the unfair advantage you have as a Fantasy Springs Hotel guest with Happy Entry. This advantage saved me nearly 2 hours of waiting without buying an expensive Vacation Package.
Join me as I show you the exact strategy I used (for better or worse) that gives hotel guests a 15-minute head start over everyone else, and walk you through what I did to save time!
In this video, you’ll learn:
🏃 Beat the Main Entrance Crowds: How to use the Fantasy Springs Hotel private entrance to beat the morning rush.
❄️ 36-Min Wait for Frozen Journey: Why I waited only 36 minutes when the standby line got up to 140 minutes
💪 DPA Strategy: When it’s actually worth it to buy DPA (and when to skip it).
⏱️ Real Wait Times: I check the wait times of Fantasy Springs attractions throughout the morning

I still can’t believe we got on in 36 minutes while the line was hitting 140! ⏱ What's the LONGEST wait you've ever seen for Frozen Journey?
If you have a different strategy, drop it below so we can all save time! 👇
What if I rent out the whole park?
Hi! I’ve been watching all of your Disney/Universal videos to prep for a trip this July/August. We’ve been debating the VP and this gives me hope a hotel stay + buying DPA will do the trick 🙂 Thanks so much for your content, I can’t wait to watch more!
thank you for the video 🙂 could you make a video about the new single rider lines?
Love on-the-ground videos like this, testing out queue strategies ☺️
We went to Tokyo Disney last year for the first time last year and your videos were so so helpful x
Loving watching your videos- well informed and lots of good info. I'm at the start of working out how long it will take to save to go to Japan and Disneyland for a dream trip for my kids. Your videos are helping me try and work out what we actually will want to do, how many rides that would be and if paying for the vacation package will be worth it or not. So much math to do! Great to see how to do things if you don't want to spend extra $$$. Is there a minimum amount of nights you have to stay if you opt for Fantasy Spring Hotel? Is one night and option? Thanks for the videos!
Great advice as always!!
Thank you for the videos 🎉
I just got back from Japan and did 3 days at Tokyo Disney in the Toy Story hotel, we arrived late on a Monday to DisneySea, entered via Fantasy Springs entrance after noon, but lucked out and caught a DPA for Frozen around 2:30 after we rode Tower of Terror! Learned so much from your videos and we got to ride almost everything we wanted across both parks! Will have to go back some day to try for Soarin, that was the only one we couldnt get DPA and lines were 3 hours all day.
You’re great
bad YouTube
be nice to chris
Love all the helpful, informative and fun content you create!❤
This was great – thanks for making this!
Also, I priced out the vacation packages and found that the Fantasy Springs hotel (entrance side) was the SAME price as the Disneyland Hotel! That was for first week of July, 4 guests, doing the 3DAYS vacation package. So for us, it seems worth it to just book the cheapest room at Fantasy Springs hotel.
We will definitely be following your game plan here! ❤
Hi Chris, I love and watch your videos religiously before a trip XDXDXD
Just want to ask if you did a cover on evening strategies? Like let everyone else queue in the mornings and see if there is a chance in the late afternoons or evenings?
I'm asking cause if I had family and toddlers (they can't wait too long, and looking at a cheaper alternative to Vacation packages), what are my options?
I wanna meet you someday Chris!! Hope the youtube algorithm with be in your favor
Chris, thank you genuinely for your videos and what you do. Your joy for the parks is literal therapy for me. 🙏
Can you please go over the jjk stuff at usj, and the frieren stuff whenever it comes out?
I was there in the fall, and it was the last ride we decided to go on. I remember the wait time was incredibly long, and when we were passing the 3rd or 4th room in the castle, I heard people talking behind me, literally repeating what I'd said to my husband a minute earlier: "Bet there's another room ahead?" So we went into ANOTHER room and started laughing in sync with the girl behind us. It was both funny and sad, because it was the park's last hour, and everyone was very tired. We amused ourselves by looking at the faces of the people entering that room.
I managed to get on all 4 rides in fantasy springs and 3 other rides in disneysea! I paid for rapunzel and frozen and was so happy and money well spent, especially cause we didnt splurge on the hotel, we have extra budget to spend on rides! I really wanna go back for the 4th time haha
Hello friend, I always enjoy watching your Disney adventure videos, hope that you have a wonderful week, let’s stay in touch. 😊
Do these tips apply also when you're staying at the Miracosta? I love these on-the-ground videos! ❤
I actually went to Disneysea twice just for Fantasy Springs. First was in December 2024 but we arrived at the entrance at around 8.15 and got in around 9.10 am but DPA for Frozen was all gone and lines were like 180 mins (but we managed to get DPA for Tangled and Peter Pan).
So I went back again in November 2025 but we took the bus this time thinking it would be more convenient…but alas it wasn't. There was a bad jam. We were supposed to arrive at 8.15 but we arrived past 8.30 and only got inside the park around 9.20 am. Once again, DPA for Frozen was all gone so we decided to just queue since riding Frozen was my main purpose of coming back. Line was 180 mins long 😢
Never had I queued that long for a ride…and never will I do it again even though the ride was really beautiful and amazing 😅
