Although no snow was falling that morning, snowplows were already at work. The freshly cleared winter streets and deep snowbanks created a completely different atmosphere from summer.

At the entrance to Umaya Pier, seagulls seemed to be calling to each other in the cold air.
In summer, the pier is usually filled with anglers — but on this winter morning, not a single person was there.

Dramatic dawn clouds slowly opened, allowing sunlight to spill onto the silent sea.
A quiet reminder that nature’s beauty often surpasses anything we create.
