From Dec. 15, 2025 to Jan. 6, Godina, a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) Instructor from the 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, volunteered 42 hours to guide 22 Air Force personnel through a crucible of physical and mental challenges. The rigorous training took place every weekday, from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., pushing airmen far beyond their comfort zones, teaching them not just the techniques of close-quarters combat, but the critical importance of pushing through adversity when physically and mentally exhausted. This intense conditioning is designed to forge a mindset that refuses to quit, a skill essential for any warrior facing hardship.
Through his expert mentorship, Corporal Godina taught participants how to overcome their perceived limits and find strength in moments of struggle. His dedication resulted in the successful qualification of fourteen members who earned their tan belts and ten who advanced to grey belt. More importantly, he equipped these airmen with invaluable resilience and a hardened warrior spirit, enhancing their survivability for any future conflict.
