Following a record year that saw more than 10 million international passengers pass through Gimhae International Airport, several new overseas routes will launch during the first half of 2026, significantly widening travel options from Busan.
Eastar Jet will begin flights to Almaty, Kazakhstan on May 1, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. Departures leave Busan at 6:55 p.m. and arrive at 10:40 p.m., with return flights departing at 11:40 p.m. and landing the next morning at 9:35 a.m.
Jin Air will introduce two brand-new destinations for Gimhae: Taichung, Taiwan on March 30 (five times weekly), and Miyakojima, Japan on April 2. Taichung is known for its creative culture and food scene, including bubble tea, while Miyakojima is a popular diving destination nicknamed the “Maldives of Japan.”
AirAsia X plans to launch four weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur in June.
Air Busan will operate charter services to Shizuoka starting March 30 and Takamatsu from March 31, each running three times per week.
