US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit China from March 31 to April 2. He is set to hold talks with President Xi Jinping.

A White House official confirmed the dates on Friday.

The two leaders will likely discuss an agreement reached at a summit last year in South Korea to suspend stricter export controls surrounding rare earths, as well as some additional tariffs.

Attention is also focused on whether they discuss Taiwan. In February, Xi told Trump that the United States should handle arms sales to Taiwan with “prudence.”

Trump’s visit to China will be his first since 2017, during his first term.
