Sapporo Beer has officially announced an upcoming collaboration release featuring a legendary mecha franchise.
The “Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label Evangelion Design” collection brings the series’ iconic giant robots to limited-edition beverage cans and high-quality glassware.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a landmark mecha anime that first aired in 1995, completely changing the landscape of Japanese animation with its deep psychological themes and complex characters.

The series follows teenagers who pilot giant biomechanical robots to fight monstrous beings known as Angels.
The franchise was later reimagined for modern audiences through the Rebuild of Evangelion film series, which introduced new characters and a completely different narrative direction.

This enduring legacy has kept the series at the forefront of pop culture for three decades.
This new beverage collaboration features two different sizes of the popular Black Label beer with special packaging.
The standard 350-milliliter can showcases a striking design of the iconic Evangelion Unit-01.

The larger 500-milliliter can highlights Evangelion Unit-13, featuring an exclusive new illustration by Mahiro Maeda, one of the directors of the final theatrical film.
Fans can also purchase the “Black Label x Evangelion 30th Anniv. Collaboration THE BAR GLASS” to enjoy their beverages in style.

This premium drinking glass features the official 30th-anniversary emblem printed directly on the surface.
Attendees of the “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION” festival at Yokohama Arena in Japan can view these upcoming items at a dedicated Sapporo Beer sponsor booth.

The special anniversary glass is priced at 8,250 yen (approx. $55 USD / £43 GBP).
Pre-orders for the glassware officially opened on Friday, February 20, 2026 exclusively through the online Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label THE SHOP.

Customers who place their orders for the glass by Saturday, February 28, 2026, will have their items delivered on the official launch day.
The limited-edition beer cans and additional collaboration merchandise will be officially released on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

The beer will be sold in limited quantities at grocery and convenience retailers nationwide in Japan and pricing will vary by retailer.
More exclusive merchandise and digital content are planned to be revealed on Sapporo Beer’s official “CLUB Black Label” member website in the near future.
