Playing as a fearsome giant monster, you must wreak havoc in your path. Roll the dice, strike hard and take over the city like never before.
Blending strategy, luck and tactics, you will be thrown into epic battles at the heart of a ruined city. You will need to create the best dice combinations to heal, attack, purchase cards and earn Victory Points, with the first player to reach 20 Victory Points or being the last one standing letting you become “King of Tokyo.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
Solo and Local Multiplayer Modes: Face off against AI opponents in customizable matches tailored to all difficulty levels or challenge up to 5 friends in intense battles. Earn Victory Points or bring your opponents’ life points to zero to claim victory.
Legendary Monsters: Play as one of six iconic monsters: Gigazaur, Cyber Kitty, Alienoid, King, Mecha Dragon, or Space Penguin, and dominate Tokyo!
Power Cards: Gather energy during the game to purchase power cards, allowing you to shift strategies and expand your winning opportunities. With this intricate card system, no two games are ever the same.
Dynamic Graphics and Sound Effects: Dive into a fully immersive experience with spectacular monster animations.
King of Tokyo will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 21 May 2026.
