SEGA has launched a new collaboration campaign for the recently released Yakuza Kiwami 3 / Yakuza 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties games.
The “Yakuza x Okinawa Hormel” collection features a variety of food sets and apparel inspired by the game’s iconic Okinawan setting.
The Yakuza series, known as Ryu ga Gotoku (Like a Dragon) in Japan, is a celebrated action-adventure franchise that explores the lives of men navigating the complexities of the Japanese criminal underworld.
Yakuza: Kiwami 3 is a modern remake of the 2009 classic, following the legendary protagonist Kazuma Kiryu as he manages an orphanage in Okinawa while being drawn back into the conflicts of his past.
The companion title, Dark Ties, offers a new story focusing on the antagonist Yoshitaka Mine, exploring his dramatic rise within the yakuza before he crosses paths with Kiryu.
Okinawa Hormel is a historic local company established in 1959 that has played a vital role in bringing American-influenced canned goods to the region.
The brand is particularly famous for its long-standing association with SPAM®, a canned meat that has become a fundamental part of Okinawan home cooking and culture.
This new range allows fans to experience the flavors seen in the game world through several special edition sets that feature SPAM as well as other Okinawa Hormel products.
The first option is a SPAM 2-can set that is priced at 1,500 yen (approx. $10 USD / £8 GBP).
This set features two cans of low-sodium SPAM protected by a limited edition sleeve featuring artwork of the two main characters.
Another selection is the SPAM Curry and SPAM Jyushi Base set, which costs 4,000 yen (approx. $27 USD / £21 GBP).
This package includes a variety of local flavors and a limited edition collaboration T-shirt that features an exclusive SPAM-themed take on the Yakuza 3 Kiwami / Dark Ties promo art.
Fans can also choose the “Two Men’s Way of Life” set for 3,900 yen (approx. $26 USD / £20 GBP).
This set contains canned Taco Rice and Corned Beef Hash, which should be recognizable to fans as recovery items that can be purchased at in-game stores to restore the protagonist’s health.
Each set is designed to celebrate the deep connection between the game’s story and the real-world culinary traditions of Okinawa through authentic ingredients.
These sets are currently available through the Okinawa Hormel official online shop.
They are also available at Lawson convenience stores across Okinawa starting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
