Developer Nihon Falcom has published its financial results (via GameBiz) for the first quarter of the fiscal year (October to December 2025).
According to the report, revenue increased 150.7% compared to the same period last year, while operating profit surged 670.4%. The strong performance is primarily attributed to the September release of Trails in the Sky the 1st, which appears to have significantly boosted both product sales and overseas licensing revenue.
The company’s licensing division also saw major gains, up 218.3% year-over-year. Falcom credits this to continued international releases of entries in the Trails and Ys franchises, including overseas versions of multiple legacy titles.
Currently, Nihon Falcom has seven titles in development. Among them are Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and Kyoto Xanadu. Despite the strong first-quarter performance, Falcom is maintaining a conservative full-year forecast.
The company has not revised its projections, citing difficulty in predicting sales performance for Kyoto Xanadu, which is scheduled to launch in the second half of the fiscal year. With limited visibility on how the new project will be received, Falcom appears to be taking a measured approach.
