The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA), in partnership with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), will host its 2026 International Destination Conference in Yokohama, Japan.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Japan National Tourism Organization to bring ACTA’s 2026 International Destination Conference to Yokohama,” said Suzanne Acton-Gervais, President, АСТА.

“Сanadians are travelling further and staying longer, with strong renewed interest in Asia. Hosting in Japan provides our members with a valuable opportunity to deepen their destination knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and return better equipped to serve their clients.”

The conference is scheduled to take place from November 29 to December 4, 2026. The program will follow a preliminary itinerary, with final details to be confirmed.

“We are delighted to welcome ACTA to Japan and to share firsthand the culture, hospitality and regional diversity for which the country is known,” said Yuka Suzuki, Executive Director of the Japan National Tourism Organization’s Toronto Office.

“Canada continues to be a strong market for Japan tourism and as we come off another record-breaking year, we look forward to strengthening our partnerships to create meaningful, inspiring experiences for Canadian travellers in the years ahead.”

Airfare is not included in the conference fee. ACTA said it is working with airline partners to secure discounted rates, with flight savings details to be shared upon acceptance.
