IN a meaningful display of solidarity, the Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara (RCBM) in Negros Occidental, together with its international partner, the Rotary Club of Kyoto-Fushimi (RCKF) in Japan, and the Moises Padilla Business Group of Agrivet Supplies, recently led a relief mission to assist families affected by Typhoon Tino in Moises Padilla.
The initiative was made possible through a generous donation from RCKF, entrusted to RCBM in partnership with the Rotary Club of Murcia-Tinabuay (RCMT). The funds were used to purchase construction materials and essential supplies to support recovery efforts in the hardest-hit communities.
A total of 35 households received relief packages that included corrugated roofing sheets, plywood, cooking pots, rice, and other necessities, helping families rebuild their homes and meet immediate needs after the storm.
The distribution was carried out with the support of the local government unit of Moises Padilla, ensuring the timely and organized delivery of assistance.
RCBM president April Kitagawa expressed gratitude to Mayor Ella Yulo, Vice Mayor Felix Yulo, barangay captain Bernard Garcia, SB Vincent Garcia, Rtn./PP Glia Mabag, and the volunteers who made the mission successful.
