Binary Haze Interactive has announced that Tokyo Scramble is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 next week, news that was shared in this week’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase presentation.

From developer Adglobe, this survival puzzle-action game is set deep beneath an unrecognisable Tokyo, which has been taken over by terrifying dinosaur-like creatures called Zinosaurs.

You must guide protagonist Annie through the dangers that surround her, using her smartwatch to distract, disturb and trap enemies. Your clear thinking and split-second decision-making will be the difference between life and death.

The game has been designed around the portable home console successor’s unique GameShare and GameChat features for co-operative play. Even with only a single copy of the game, up to three players can join you to offer advice or assist you through shared controls. For those who want to face the danger alone, the entire adventure can be played solo from start to finish.

“We envisioned something very different for the Nintendo Switch 2, something that takes full advantage of the hardware’s GameShare and GameChat for up to four players, yet is still incredible for solo players,” explains the game’s producer and director Makoto Yamamoto. “The end result is Tokyo Scramble! Whether played alone or together, it is a journey through a Tokyo no one has ever seen before. We look forward to seeing how players help Anne escape the threat of the Zinos.”

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

Multi-Genre Action Gameplay

Stealth: Avoid enemies by moving quietly and staying out of sight.

Strategy: Use apps to distract and outwit foes.

Combat: Anticipate enemy attacks and strike back using apps.

A Sensory-Rich Experience

Timing, quick thinking, and unwavering determination form the border between life and death.

Though the controls are simple, players must contend with enemies’ senses of sight and hearing, manage Anne’s heart rate, and carefully time their use of apps to survive.

Rich Supporting Elements

An engaging teen drama about four friends and their dreams for the future, told across a series of text messages.

Elaborate and diverse environments to traverse that differ between episodes.

Unique musical themes for each new enemy.

Game Modes and Difficulty

Escaping Zinosaurs is no easy feat, and clearing it on the first try will prove to be challenging, even for more experienced players.

HOPE Mode (Normal): Challenge with wisdom and situational judgment.

DESPAIR Mode (Hard): A desperate crisis… Can you survive?

Tokyo Scramble will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 11 February 2026.
