Join us for an unforgettable day in Hakodate, Japan, as part of our Japan cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas 🇯🇵🚢
In this video, we take you along on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion to Onuma National Park, a truly stunning journey into the volcanic heart of Hokkaido. Visiting in October meant we were treated to spectacular autumn colours, with vibrant reds and glowing golds surrounding us at every turn.
Our adventure included a peaceful boat cruise on the lake, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, followed by a leisurely walk along the park’s scenic trails. Every corner revealed iconic photo opportunities, making this a true feast for the eyes and a highlight of our time in Japan.
After leaving the park, we stopped at the Donshaku Potato Museum, before returning to the ship for a relaxing afternoon aboard Spectrum of the Seas. As evening fell, we were treated to another beautiful sunset and the excitement of White Night on board.
The day ended with a British-themed dinner in the main dining room, complete with a fun surprise from the Maitre D’, followed by evening shows and some time in the casino. A perfect way to wrap up our final day in Japan.

What a lovely walk! Fabulous colours, that lake reminded us of the lake in Haugesund we walked around. Your friends have done a fabulous job on the vlog too. Lovely to see you all enjoying that great food onboard. Don't blame you having a chill by the pool. It's nice to have some downtime when you are active in the ports. Absolutely stunning! What a great video. We'll be in Hakodate on 30th October on Diamond Princess so hopefully we'll get to do the national park. They offer an excursion for $89 each but I've checked and there seems to be public transport that runs quite frequently very cheaply. Thanks for all your hard work in producing quality content.
