The Kirin Brewery Tour in Yokohama, Japan, offers a behind the scenes look at how Kirin beer is made. We learned about why its home is in Yokohama along with their brewing process, tasted malt and barley on they way, and ended the tour with a tasting and gift shop visit. Note: The entire tour is in Japanese.

If you’re visiting Yokohama or planning a day trip from Tokyo, this is an easy and interesting stop, even if you’re not a beer expert. Instead of beer at the end, there is also tea, coffee and other non alcoholic canned beverages made by Kirin.
