Noida: An eight-member delegation from Japan’s Yamanashi province, led by deputy governor Junichi Ishidera, visited Noida on Friday and held a meeting with Noida Authority officials at the Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra in Sector 6. Officials said the objective of the visit was to develop a long-term partnership through mutual cooperation in areas such as investment and business opportunities, culture, education and tourism in Uttar Pradesh. Noida Authority additional chief executive officer Vandana Tripathi, along with other senior officials, met the delegation during the visit.The officials proposed holding another meeting in August this year, involving around 200 representatives from Japanese companies and organisations interested in investing . Two days earlier, the delegation had met CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. During the meeting, the CM said that relations between India and Japan are based on shared values and long-term engagement.
