Lady Gaga spoke out about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during a concert in Tokyo, Japan, on Thursday, January 29.

The singer was performing one of four concerts at the Tokyo Dome as part of her tour The Mayhem Ball when she made the heartfelt speech.

Footage captured by Juraimi Bin Roslan shows Gaga address the crowd while sitting at a piano.

“In a couple of days, I am going to be heading home and my heart is aching thinking about the people, the children, the families, all over America who are being mercilessly targeted by ICE,” she said.

“I’m thinking about all of their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us,” she said. “I am also thinking about Minnesota and everyone back home who is living in so much fear and searching for answers on what we all should do.”

“When entire communities lose their sense of safety, and belonging, it breaks something in all of us. I hope that you’ll all stand with us tonight,” the musician said.
