For Indian travel sellers watching Japan’s steady rebound with interest, All Nippon Airways’ latest capacity boost signals renewed confidence in outbound demand — and more importantly, more sellable inventory for the coming summer season.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) will upgrade its Narita–Mumbai service to daily operations from 29 March 2026, increasing frequency from five to seven roundtrips per week. The enhanced schedule will remain in effect until 17 July 2026, strengthening air connectivity between India and Japan during the peak travel period
The move forms part of ANA Holdings’ international network expansion for FY2026, with the airline scaling overall overseas capacity to 105 per cent compared to previous years in response to robust demand
Under the revised plan, flights NH 829/830 will operate daily between Narita and Mumbai. ANA has also confirmed that from 18 July to 31 August 2026, the route will continue with three weekly roundtrips, ensuring continued connectivity through late summer
In India, ANA will also maintain daily services on its Haneda–Delhi route, reinforcing its commitment to the market as outbound leisure, corporate, and VFR traffic continues its gradual recovery
Beyond India, ANA is fine-tuning capacity across its wider international network to better match seasonal demand. This includes the seasonal operation of the Narita–Vancouver route and an increase in Haneda–Milan services to daily flights during the second half of the fiscal year. From August 2026, the carrier will begin introducing Boeing 787-9 aircraft equipped with its latest Business Class product, THE Room FX, alongside new Premium Economy and Economy Class seats, with specific routes to be announced later
Domestically, ANA plans to operate at approximately 98 per cent of last year’s frequency, with temporary increases on several routes — including Haneda–Sapporo, Itami–Okinawa, Chubu–Sapporo, and Fukuoka–Sapporo — primarily to support peak summer travel demand
For Indian agents, the shift to daily Mumbai operations is expected to translate into improved availability, stronger Japan itineraries, and smoother onward connections across ANA’s broader network.
