Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo celebrates the film’s 25th anniversary with “An Invitation from Hogwarts”
The event features a recreated Sorting Ceremony and live filmmaking demonstrations
Experience the magic from March 18 to September 6
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo is launching a special event titled “An Invitation from Hogwarts.” This immersive experience invites fans to relive the wonder of Harry’s first day at the legendary school, capturing the surprise and excitement that defined the franchise’s debut.
The center of the celebration is a stunning transformation of the Great Hall, meticulously recreated to host the Sorting Ceremony. Set beneath a canopy of floating candles, the Sorting Hat awaits new students, calling out the house names – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff – to mirror the film’s iconic atmosphere. Adding to the realism, the mischievous ghosts from the entrance ceremony will also make appearances throughout the tour.
Beyond the magic, the event offers a deep dive into the filmmaking process. Live demonstrations reveal the cinematic secrets behind Harry’s Invisibility Cloak, the technical ingenuity used to bring the half-giant Hagrid to life and the practical effects that made Hermione’s feathers float.
The “An Invitation from Hogwarts” event is set to run from March 18 to September 6, and tickets are currently available for purchase through the official website. Take a first look at the event above.
