3 Days in Kyoto | Maruyama Park, Yasaka Shrine and Fushimi Inari

Prepare with me to travel around this breathtaking city of Kyoto in Kimono.

First we will buy the kimono in the shopping district Shinkyogoku and learn how to wear it properly. Then we will visit the Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama park and visit the Gion Kagai Art Museum, where we’ll watch the Kyoto Mai Dance Performance. And on our last day we will go to the legendary Fushimi Inari.

Hope you like our journey,
with love, Natasha.

========= Kimono Buy or Rent ===========
Prices of buying our kimono:
My kimono ¥10,000
My sister’s ¥27,000
My brother’s ¥9,000
each of our obi costs ¥1,000-¥2,000

But it’s a bit pricey because we choose the expensive ones, there were many that are far cheaper. for examples, some second hand shops were offering the price ¥1 per gram.

While renting a kimono can start from the very basic package ¥3,300 up til ¥20,000.
The upside of renting is that you don’t have to learn how to wear kimono, and it’s gonna be faster than us :).

So it depends on your goals and whether you’d have the time for it.

Have fun with your Kimono!

========= Entrance Fees ===========
There were no entrance fees for Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park nor Fushimi Inari.
For Gion Kagai Art Museum the entrance fee is ¥1,500 and ¥1,600 for the Kyoto Mai Dance Performance.

Here is the website of Gion Kagai Art Museum, Kyoto, where you can buy entrance tickets and the tickets for Kyoto Mai Dance or the legendary Miyako Odori Dance every April:
