Big Imagination invited us out to the Mojave Desert to shoot aerials of the world’s biggest Art Car: a Boeing 747 Mutant Vehicle destined for Burning Man.

They granted us special access to their base of operations: an airplane graveyard that we soon realized was an FPV pilot’s dream come true. We needed drones that were highly maneuverable so we could capture these decommissioned beasts in all their glory, which is something that would have been a challenge using larger aerial platforms.

That being said, we rigged up two Phantom 2’s, each with a 3 axis brushless gimbal. One was retrofitted with a Go Pro 4 and wide angle lens, and the other with a Go Pro 4 rectilinear. Here are the results of our epic journey.. let us know what you think in the comments..
