Christmas Season in Osaka 🇯🇵 – Part 2 Katsuoji Temple, Christmas Market, Kobe Pork & Amazon Delivery

Our final days in Osaka, Japan — filled with cozy winter food, peaceful temples, festive lights, and everyday city moments 🇯🇵✨

We started with a simple Japanese breakfast before heading to Katsuo-ji Temple, known for its daruma dolls that symbolize perseverance and good fortune. We drew daruma mikuji fortunes, completed the fun stamp rally, and spent time wandering the temple grounds, surrounded by greenery and calm — a truly peaceful and grounding experience.

Back in the city, the rest of the day was all about winter comfort and simple pleasures. We warmed up with a bowl of rich tonkotsu ramen at Ramen Yokozuna, wandered through what might be the biggest MUJI we’ve ever visited, and took a short break with seasonal Starbucks drinks and cake. As evening set in, we headed to the Tenshiba Christmas Market, where we enjoyed frankfurters, sausages, and cups of hot cocoa and hot chocolate while soaking in the festive atmosphere. To top it all off, we even picked up a same-day Amazon delivery waiting for us at the hotel — a small moment that perfectly captured Japan’s unmatched convenience.

The next day, we eased into the morning with another go-to breakfast before exploring Shinsaibashi and Namba. We went vinyl hunting at Tower Records in Namba Parks, enjoyed a hearty lunch of Kobe pork loin tonkatsu at Kiwami Tonkatsu Katsuki, and spent the afternoon browsing Donki, shopping for pasalubong, and trying our luck at gacha machines. A quick cafe stop for a chunky scone and gingerbread latte kept us going before an early dinner at Hoshino Coffee, where we ended the day with a comforting beef stew omurice.

On our final morning, we soaked in a relaxing hotel onsen, grabbed a last Famichiki and egg sando for breakfast, and checked out. From OCAT, we took the airport bus back to Kansai International Airport — an easy and stress-free way to end our trip.
