TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police are hunting for two men who fled after their vehicle overturned in Suginami Ward on Tuesday.
Footage shown by Fuji News Network (Jan. 21) shot at just after 6:00 p.m. captures the moment when the car being pursued by police rear-ends another vehicle on Kannana-dori in Suginami Ward and overturns.
In the footage, shot by the vehicle that was rear-ended, the car overturns and lands on its hood.
“I suddenly heard a bang from behind, and when I looked in the mirror, the [other] car was flying away,” the male driver from the rear-ended vehicle says.
According to the man who was rear-ended, the two people who left the scene appeared to be foreigners. Police are now seeking their whereabouts.
