This is a driving video from Asahikawa to Otaru via Sapporo along the Do-O Expressway in Hokkaido, Japan.
In Odori Avenue, Sapporo, the Sapporo Lilac Festival was held in May. Many lilac flowers bloom this season. A variety of street stalls were there, offering local wines, beers, and scallops.
Otaru is a historic city. Otaru flourished from herring fishing in the 19th century. In the 20th century, Otaru was the financial centre of Hokkaido. Historic buildings remain in the city centre.

This marks the end of the 2025 spring season in Hokkaido, Japan.
