    Always love your videos. I turned off the captions because it wasn't translating to english. Even though i read some Japanese i don't recognize some of the Kanji characters. So who know if i would've won rock, paper, scissors today 😂. 良い仕事を続けてください🎉

    I personally think you do a great job explaining the meals. I’d love to get to try one myself one day!

    I enjoyed the section on pachinko machines a lot. As a teen in the 80’s in the US, I learned of them somehow (can’t remember how, just remember doing it!). I ended up saving money forever to buy an American made one and enjoyed it a lot over the years, but someday want to play a true Japanese one (even 40 yrs later lol).

    And you got me with the “Cat” joke…think I’ve seen too many cate cafe and cat island episodes here on various YT channels!!!!

    うわぁ、メッチャ懐かしい三朝温泉！仕事で近くに行ってお宿の裏側の川沿いの道を良く散歩していました。
    残念ながらステキな旅館に泊まる事が出来ませんでしたが(会社のケチ！)海からのご来光を見たり楽しんだ記憶があります。
    また鳥取砂丘にも行って、丁度二重の🌈が出たので写真を撮って来たんです🎵またゆっくり行きたいなぁ。

    Thank you for another great find. Awesome ryokan. I have heard radon baths are very good for people with high blood pressure and insomnia, as they dilute the blood vessels and have a calming effect. The abandoned railway line was superb. It makes a peaceful picturesque walk. Especially if you have a dog companion. PS. Your wife has very elegant hands, her long fingers are beautiful. Does she play piano?

    The islands situated in the Gulf of Naples also have lots of radioactive springs.
    I once stayed at a hot spring hotel there.
    You were only allowed to bath a maximum of 30 minutes a day, due to the radiation dose.

    I was lucky as a foreigner to stay in a Ryokan once, there was no lobby, check-in and welcome tea directly in the room.

    Tottori looks like a wonderful place to explore. So much history and beautiful nature and the Ryoken was a very traditional, relaxing experience. Thank you for taking us there!

    Thank you for sharing this beautiful onsen town, and the beautiful ryokan with us. Both look stunning, especially when the lanterns are lit, and when the ryokan is seen in the river. The old arcade place looked like a lot of fun. And the bamboo forest at the end of the video is so beautiful and peaceful.

    P.S. I love sleeping on a futon in a room with tatami mats. Strangely enough, I sleep better on a futon, than in a normal bed.

    Ha! Scissors!
    There is a thing in America and perhaps other countries where they make abandoned rail lines into trails, called "rails to trails." I think that would be a great use for this abandoned line. It is a beautiful walk.

    I'm curious about the lamp at 26:59 with the characters shichi-go-san. Does it have anything to do with 7-5-3 Day? Are those just generally lucky numbers?

    I went back to paper! 😁 That was a lovely town 😊. It did look a bit like Ghibli. I suspect that Mrs Travelgeek has a hidden misspent youth playing those games 😛. See you in the next one 🙂.

    The camel reminded me of when I went to Sharm El-Sheikh a while back and rode a dromedary. What an experience 😅
    I think this is the first time I've filmed Tottori. Its dunes are famous, though. It would be interesting to combine a Shimane-Tottori trip in the future and explore both.
