We took a family cruise in Japan aboard the MOL Sunflower ferry, traveling from Osaka to Beppu with our kids — and it was such a unique experience!

In this video, we share what it’s really like to travel Japan by overnight ferry as a family, from boarding at the Osaka port to exploring the ship, relaxing onboard, enjoying meals with ocean views, and arriving in Beppu, famous for its hot springs. The onboard spa overlooking the sea, was a major highlight for all, but due to camera policies, it was not captured.

This cruise felt more like a floating hotel than a ferry, and it turned out to be a fun, affordable, and kid-friendly way to travel between cities in Japan.
