Except for maybe sushi and unagi, ALL the rest is largely tourist-trap, foreign junk food. Did you have to travel all this way to eat your own food? Why bother?
I hear viral and I shudder. I get a lot of this stuff is cool and novel and probably does taste good, but it's mostly spins of stuff we can get in the States (fish market excepted). Japan has such unique traditional food that I would've spent all my time trying different parts of that.
