2013 International Model Aircraft Competition was held during October 26~27, 2013 in Seoul. The event started at 11 AM with paragliders flying around the sky. Their roaring sound seemed to be speaking of the excitement of the people there. Also, the aerobatics performance of two red aircraft piloted by a British farther and a son was truly impressive.
This year’s competition was honored with the participation of famous competitors around the world, such as Sevastiano Sivestry from Italy, Stephen & Matthew Bishop RED DUO team from Great Britain, Ishikawa Shizuo from Japan and so on. In addition to their mesmerizing air show, many other sub-events were prepared for the spectators. People were given opportunities to create and operate model aircraft, and ride a hot-air balloon for free.
광나루 자전거 공원 옆에 있는 광나루모형비행장에서 서울 국제모형항공기대회가 열렸다. 패러글라이딩과 열기구 등 비행기와 관련있는 장비들이 관심을 끌었다.
아침 11시부터 시작하는데 패러글라이딩은 벌써 하늘에서 요란한 소리를 내면서 날고 있었다. 서울에서는 좀처럼 보기 드문 패러글라이딩. 한 번 타보고 싶던 패러글라이딩이 내 머리 위에서 날고 있다.
오늘도 타보지는 못하고 사진과 동영상만 촬영하고 있다.
외국 유명 초청선수들 이탈리아 Sevastiano Sivestry, 영국 Stephen&Matthew Bishop RED DUO Team, 일본 이시가와 시즈오 를 비롯 국내 모형항공인들을 위한 대회와 각종 체험행사들이 함께 열렸다.
영국팀 부자가 출전한 빨간 비행기 2대의 곡예비행은 환상적이었다. 또한 비행기 시속 300km 이상이라는 비행기는 어찌나 빠른지 눈깜작할사이에 시야에서 사라지곤 했다.
