What you should know: The M.CRAFT City Series expands Mizuno’s putter lineup with four distinct head shapes inspired by iconic Japanese cities, each forged and milled to deliver soft feel, clean visuals and consistent roll.
The Deep Dive: Mizuno’s approach to putters has always mirrored its philosophy with irons. Feel comes first, shaping matters, and technology is there to support performance rather than define it. The M.CRAFT City Series is a continuation of that mindset, offering four clearly differentiated putter shapes built around the same forged foundation.
Each City Series putter is forged in Japan from Pure Select 1025E mild carbon steel and finished with a copper underlay to fine-tune vibration at impact. The result is the soft, responsive feel Mizuno is known for, paired with a deep milling pattern on the face that promotes consistent roll and predictable speed control. A thin alignment line on the topline provides a simple visual cue at address without adding unnecessary clutter.
Mizuno also incorporated dual weight ports into every model, allowing golfers and fitters to adjust head weight, swing weight, and center of gravity to better match individual stroke preferences. Rather than pushing extreme adjustability, the system is intended to fine-tune feel and balance while preserving the putter’s natural shape and flow.
The lineup itself moves logically from traditional to modern. The Kyoto is a classic blade, available with plumber’s neck or slant neck options, built for golfers who favor simplicity and toe flow. The Osaka introduces a square-back, wide-blade profile that adds stability while retaining a compact look. The Nagoya sits between those worlds as a mid-mallet, offering a balanced shape with added forgiveness in a still-traditional footprint. The Tokyo completes the family with a high-MOI wing mallet designed to maximize alignment and stability through the stroke.
Each model is offered in either a Gray Ion or Nickel finish, both chosen to complement the head shape and provide a durable, understated aesthetic. Rather than forcing golfers into a single idea of what a Mizuno putter should be, the M.CRAFT City Series gives players the freedom to choose the shape that fits their eye and stroke, while keeping the feel, craftsmanship, and attention to detail consistent across the line.
