In Okinawa, on Saturday, December 27, the Christmas Divine Liturgy was celebrated, presided over by the Metropolitan, together with Fr Andrew Kearns, who serves at the U.S. base in Okinawa, and the hieromonk Fr Epiphanios Grigoriatis. Following the service, the faithful had the opportunity to spend time together in an atmosphere of spiritual joy and love in Christ.
On the following day, December 28, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in Tokyo. Among those attending the Eucharistic gathering was the newly appointed Ambassador of Greece to Japan, Olga Kliamaki, who had the opportunity to meet the Metropolitan in person and become acquainted with the work of the Exarchate.
In his addresses in both Okinawa and Tokyo, the Metropolitan conveyed the reverent paternal greetings and blessings of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and offered words of encouragement and spiritual edification to the faithful.
