Hakodateyama Ropeway Suspends Operations from January 1 Due to Water Supply Issues

The Hakodateyama Ropeway in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan, will suspend operations from January 1 until further notice.

This is due to a malfunction in the facilities at Hakodateyama Park, which has made it impossible to secure a water supply. Since the mountain trail has been closed since November 10, the observation deck at the summit will also be closed.

According to the City of Hakodate, an investigation is underway into the cause, including the possibility of water leakage.
