Vietnam Airlines will operate charter flights on the route between Sapporo/New Chitose and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
This is based on the memorandum of understanding on collaboration and cooperation aimed at establishing a future regular scheduled service, which was concluded in December 2024 by three parties: the Hokkaido Prefectural Government, Hokkaido Airports Co., Ltd., and Vietnam Airlines.
The operating dates are March 5 and 9 for departures from Sapporo/New Chitose, and March 4 and 8 for departures from Ho Chi Minh City. The aircraft used will be an Airbus A350-900 configured with a total of 300 seats: 29 in Business Class, 45 in Premium Economy, and 226 in Economy Class.
