One of Japan’s Top Three Wagyu Brands — Matsusaka Gyu in Wakayama 🥩🔥

Matsusaka Gyu is one of Japan’s most celebrated Wagyu brands and part of the country’s famous “Top Three Wagyu” along with Kobe Beef and Omi Beef. We tried this Matsusaka Gyu Striploin at Yakiniku Carosso in Wakayama, and it was outstanding.

The beef was raised by Nakao San, one of the leading and most respected Matsusaka producers. His program focuses on raising unbred heifers for 30 to 32 months, allowing the beef to mature slowly and develop its signature tenderness, sweetness, and depth of flavor.

Yakiniku Carosso is also a convenient stop because reservations are often available on the same day. It is a great place to try Wagyu from Wakayama and other regions of Japan without long waiting times.
