A Hidden Wagyu Gem in Kobe You Need to Try 🥩🔥

Kobe is famous around the world for Kobe Beef, but finding a truly memorable Wagyu restaurant in the city can be surprisingly difficult. Many chefs from Kobe open their restaurants in Osaka instead, and the local scene leans heavily toward Teppanyaki and classic Yakiniku.

This shop was a clear exception. Yuzaburō offers a style known as Niku Kappo, a category in Japanese cuisine where beef is prepared across multiple techniques — from steak and Yakiniku to Sukiyaki, pasta, and Wagyu appetizers. A full Wagyu experience rather than a single cooking style.

We tried their full course and were impressed by how balanced it was. Many dishes, many cuts, yet nothing felt heavy. The highlight was a beautifully marbled Ribeye from Seto Farms, located near Kobe, known for producing beef with a naturally low melting point.

If you are visiting Kobe and want more than the usual Teppanyaki route, this is a special recommendation.
