Gianmarco Soresi built his following online. Now, the New York-based stand-up comedian is finding out how far his humor travels. His first Asia tour begins in Tokyo next month, where demand has been strong enough to add a second show before he even boarded the plane.

Soresi will now perform Jan. 6 at Hulic Hall in Ginza in addition to the already sold-out gig on Jan. 7 at Good Heavens in Shimokitazawa. The tour will then take him to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and India.

The expressive comedian is known for his quick wit, frenetic gestures and viral crowd work moments, which helped him garner more than 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube and similarly high numbers across other social media platforms.
