Don't go sightseeing in Ueno or other crowded places with large luggage over the New Year holidays!
This is not just my opinion, but as you can see in the video, it is incredibly crowded and the people in the shopping district are making this appeal.
Many foreigners say they want to know what everyday Japan is like, but they don't need to know!!
It's a tradition for Japanese people to go to Ameyoko in Ueno to buy groceries over the New Year holidays, so please don't interfere with their daily lives.
Why don't you leave your luggage in a hotel or coin locker, or have it shipped?
What would you think if you saw foreigners wandering around your local market with suitcases in your country?
Are you crazy?
