Our cruise ship called at Tanegashima (Kagoshima Prefecture), an island known as the place where firearms were first introduced to Japan and now a forefront of space development.
Learning that it’s also famous for sweet potatoes, rice, and peanuts made the visit all the more enjoyable. 😊
