I haven’t found many places to ask for help in tracking down a bowl like the one pictured. Clearly it is broken, and that broke my partners heart. A spice jar fell out of the cabinet on it.
In my search for a replacement, I have found that they were made in at least 3 sizes – small (4.5”), medium (6”), and large (7”) – this being the medium size of around 6” in diameter and about 2.5” tall. I see only the small and large versions for sale at the moment.
At the very least, if someone can translate the kanji on the bottom (which I hope can identify the manufacturer) that would be extremely helpful.
You may understand that this is a highly sentimental item, half of a matched pair. I am not wealthy, but am happy to buy a beer/tea/coffee as a finders fee, via Venmo or PayPal.
