⁴ᴷ Okayama: Tsuyama Station (岡山県: 津山駅) – Japan Walking Tour (December, 2025)
Walking Through Tsuyama, Okayama: From Station to Arcade Streets on a Winter Night
I originally wanted to travel north toward the Tohoku region, but due to recent news about bears, I decided to change my route and head west instead. The final destination of this journey is Okayama Prefecture.
After passing through Kyoto and Hyogo, I arrived in Okayama Prefecture. This time, I visited Tsuyama City, neighboring Maniwa City in the northern, mountainous part of the prefecture, and continued my journey as if heading back toward Tokyo. I’ve visited Tsuyama several times before, so the city already feels familiar to me.
In front of the station, a large sign welcoming home Kosuke Inaba of B’z greets visitors. The city center lies beyond a bridge, so I walked from the station toward the arcade shopping street. Since it was a Friday night in December, I passed several groups that looked like they were heading home from year-end parties, adding a lively seasonal atmosphere to the walk.
