The Gachiakuta stage play has been officially announced for 2026, bringing the dark action manga to theaters in Tokyo and Kyoto. Based on the manga Gachiakuta by Kei Urana, with graffiti design by Hideyoshi Andou, the stage adaptation will run from May 22 to 31, 2026, at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball in Tokyo, followed by performances from June 5 to 7 at ROHM Theatre Kyoto South Hall.

Alongside the announcement, a key visual and promotional video were unveiled. The production also revealed its 12 main cast members, led by Hikaru Imamaki as protagonist Rudo, and confirmed that the stage direction will be handled by Go Ueki.

Overview of Gachiakuta

Gachiakuta is a battle action manga centered on Rudo, an orphan boy born in a slum inhabited by the descendants of criminals. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine published by Kodansha in February 2022.
A television anime adaptation produced by Bones Film is scheduled to air and stream starting in July 2025, running for two consecutive cours, with production of a second season already announced.

Notable works include The Prince of Tennis musical series as Ryoma Echizen and the musical NO.6 as Shion. Imamaki commented that Rudo may initially appear prickly and delinquent-like, but is a boy with strong convictions who despises wrongdoing. Known for Touken Ranbu The Musical as Buzen Gou and Jujutsu Kaisen stage play as Kento Nanami, Tachibana described the original work as exceptionally stylish and cool, praising its dark yet pop-infused world. He expressed enthusiasm about portraying Enjin as a reliable older brother figure.
