On the sidelines of the first Central Asia-Japan Summit in Tokyo, a series of accompanying events and bilateral meetings have been held to deepen cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan across key sectors.

One of the highlights was the Tajik-Japan Digital Business Connect, which took place in Tokyo and focused on presenting the potential and opportunities of Tajikistan’s rapidly developing digital sector, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

The event was organized by Tajikistan’s Innovation and Digital Technology Agency in cooperation with the Communications Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

Speaking at the event, Khurshed Mirzo, Director of the Agency, outlined the country’s priorities and long-term prospects in innovation and digital technologies, emphasizing Tajikistan’s growing role in the digital economy.

The event aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the digital economy, innovation, and information technology, bringing together residents of IT Park Dushanbe and leading IT companies from Tajikistan.

During the meetings, representatives of Tajik companies held discussions with Japanese firms and business leaders, showcasing advanced practices, potential areas for cooperation, joint project opportunities, and a range of digital products and services. The discussions underscored shared interest in expanding digital partnerships and fostering technology-driven collaboration between Tajikistan and Japan.
