The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Delhi office has announced the Japan Travel Fair 2026, a two-day consumer-focused event scheduled to be held on January 31 and February 1, 2026, at Ambience Mall, Gurugram. Designed as an immersive tourism showcase, the fair aims to inspire Indian travellers by highlighting Japan’s diverse tourist attractions, seasonal experiences, flight connectivity, and travel opportunities, while offering on-ground planning support and engaging cultural experiences.
Japan Travel Fair 2026 will feature 10 co-exhibitor booths, bringing together leading partners from Japan and India to present curated itineraries that combine Japan’s iconic Golden Route with authentic regional extensions. Participating exhibitors include All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., Bic Camera, Inc., Central Japan International Airport Co., Ltd. (CJIAC), East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Japan Airlines Co., Ltd., JR Central Hotels, MakeMyTrip Limited, Pickyourtrail, SOTC Travel Limited, and Thomas Cook (India) Limited (TCIL). Together, these partners will provide Indian travellers with valuable insights into Japan’s regions, seasonal highlights, flight schedules, and travel packages, creating a comprehensive gateway to exploring the destination.
The event will be themed around “Japanese Ennichi”, a traditional festival fair commonly held at shrines and temples in Japan, known for its vibrant atmosphere, food stalls, games, and cultural activities. Visitors can look forward to participating in traditional games such as Wanage (ring toss), trying their luck with Omikuji (fortune slips), enjoying Super Ball Sukui, and testing their aim at Shateki (gun shooting). The fair will also feature a dedicated photo booth and a cherry blossom tree set within themed Japanese virtual settings, offering Instagram-worthy moments for visitors.
Adding to the festive experience, guests will have the opportunity to win complimentary Japanese souvenirs and witness live demonstrations of traditional Taiko drum performances, along with interactive Ninja showcases, making the event an engaging experience for visitors of all ages.
