Emperor Naruhito of Japan has hosted an official reception in honor of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his first official visit to Tokyo.
Earlier, President Tokayev held talks with the Emperor, highlighting the strong and growing ties between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

During his visit, Tokayev is also scheduled to meet with leading Japanese business representatives, with plans to sign over 40 agreements covering key sectors such as energy, renewable energy, digitalization, mining, and transport.
In an exclusive interview, Japan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Yasumasa Iijima, discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the development of the Middle Corridor, business initiatives, environmental challenges in the Caspian region, and joint efforts on nuclear disarmament.
