From December 19 to 20, Tokyo will host the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue (CA+JAD) Summit at the level of heads of state for the first time.

The summit will be chaired by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The event will bring together the presidents of the five Central Asian countries-key partners committed to upholding the international rule-based order-to discuss ways to promote autonomous and sustainable development in the region.

The summit is expected to reinforce cooperation between Central Asia and Japan, a major partner, and strengthen mutually beneficial ties.

As part of the summit, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry will organize the “Central Asia + Japan” Business Forum. Takaichi will also hold bilateral meetings with Central Asian leaders to discuss enhancing bilateral relations, international agendas, and other pressing issues.
