“The Last Great Hamburger Stand” lands in Okinawa.
Fatburger began a pre-opening run Dec. 15 of its first branch in Okinawa, located on Route 58 in Mizugama District of Kadena Town, near Gate 4 of Kadena Air Base.
Although the branch’s grand opening isn’t until Jan. 7, customers, including many Americans, have been lining up to taste of authentic hamburgers from L.A.
The franchise’s hearty hamburger is known for its big fat patties, which is the product of founder Lovie Yancey’s recipe for “a big burger with everything on it.”
Since its launch in 1947 as “Mr. Fatburger” and a name change to “Fatburger” in 1952, the hamburger franchise has not only been loved for its “fresh, authentic, and tasty (FAT)” hamburgers, but also for bringing the 1950s’ vibe thanks to its bright and colorful restaurants.
It’s time to get “FAT” in Okinawa as well!
