A5 Wagyu & Hoppy Street Nightlife Tokyo Night Out in Asakusa
Hi guys, it’s Joe and today I’m in Asaka and in this video I’m going to show you how to enjoy night life in Asaka. Let’s go. So we’re in uh Nakami Street in Asaka and I’m going to the main shrine. Well, here in Asaka is a really busy place and one of the most iconic place in Tokyo, like the oldest and the biggest temple here in Tokyo, which is almost like auh 1300 years ago, maybe a little bit more. Well, you know at the daytime this place is really crowded and busy. So you can barely moves. But when you come to night time, you know that the gate and also the temple is light up. So it’s really beautiful and also less people. So I think this is the um one of the best place to take picture in the night time less people and also you can drink. So um before we going to you know drinking street called Hoppy Street, we got to eat first. So, I’m going to take you to A5 Wagyu place here in Nasaka and all you can drink. Let’s go. Ko Sapuro. So, first place is actually A5 Wagyu restaurant in Asakusa. I’ve been eating like a lot of wagyu, but this one is a good like a best balance of the lean and maring. So, so you can eat a lot non-stop. When you eat sushi, you always get the sake like it’s good pairing. But not only sushi, but also wagu is really good pairing. really smooth. Look at this. Second beer. All satisfied. Let’s grill the meat. All right. Medium. Oh my really like soft mas wasabi. Uh this wasabiab is a rare wasabi and they blended the kind some kind of spices to match this meat. So much. Wow. This one is like a cooked with the um the salt and also kale. So that’s why like you know it’s all salted flavor to it and also the kelp I think kelp like you know um attach the umami into the beef itself. Of course it’s A5 and it’s really tender so it really easy to you know chew and I think this is my favorite so far. This is really good. All right. So this one is shat burian which like a type of fillet the core of fillet. Look at this a golden beef and really looks really tender. Huh? Oh so yeah put like the smoked salt gently gently gently. rice. Look at like this shiny rice, you know. Amazing. This is so much. I haven’t eaten the rice in a full inside my life, but definitely this one is the best rice ever. This is our last meat. It’s really huge and big and it like loin with egg y and this one go like a skiyaki style. Asaka is famous for skiyaki and you can enjoy sushi. of Wagyu sushi and A5 Wagyu grill and also A5 Wagyu skiyaki. I think this is the only place you can enjoy like only one this way. All right to break the egg yoo. much do my Guys, you never you will never regular like to come here and try those kind of stuff. I mean, I’m not going to lie. Just definitely try this. Really amazing. It’s going to be the best dinner. I mean, best wagu dinner in Japan for sure. I reckon not, right? I think uh we are full, but we need a more drink. So, we’re going to go hop straight. Stay tuned. By the way, if you like this kind of local vibe, hopping between tiny bars, meeting locals, and learning real Japan, you should definitely check out Macha Trip. We offer many kind of local tours from iconic B hopping and food tours to historical walks, bike tours, cooking classes. Whatever kind of adventure you’re looking for, you can find it. And all the guys are super friendly and really know the hidden spots. It’s a great way to experience Japan through local eyes. There’s also a show me Japan coupon you can use for magical trip tours. So, make sure to check them out. to like light up like this. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Well, like at night time like less people and I think it’s a best timing to take picture. But it’s just cool, right? And we are going to go to the hoppy street which is a drinking area um right next to the sensor temple and that area is really local vibe and lively and you know compared to Shinjik and Shibuya that place is less touristy I guess. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Especially nighttime. Yep. Yeah. This is very local. All right. So keep on drinking. Let’s go. Next place. And we just got into some Zakaya. And here’s a speciality is definitely hopi, which is like a beer like a drink. And back in days, draia was a little expensive. So we make a beerish drink and hop came out. This one is actually 0.08% alcohol tastes like a beer. But when you order, hop comes with shou which is a Japanese liquor from bar or potato. So you’re supposed to mix with it like this. And uh the one I got was the black one. And this one is a white. So you can choose black or white. This is quite strong. A lot of sugar. So if it’s too strong, you can just keep pouring like this. But I’m not going to do that. Here’s a heads up like a uh isakay in hobbyist street they have like a cabba church which is around 300 yen and also you have to order one drink and one each person and a lot of places you can smoke inside so but it’s not a smoky smoking it’s open air so I don’t think like you know you kind of feel that much or something but kind of heads you know like this you can drink on the street And you can immerse like yourself in Japanese culture and atmosphere and sometime you gonna you know mingle with local well like in when they get really drunk they’re super friendly they even even though even they don’t speak English they’ll talk to you for sure. So you should definitely come here or join the tour. Let’s go next place. Actually, this is the next day I came back here. I know like last time we filmed and I didn’t check the the schedule of the the restaurant. You good? Good. And so, one more one. Yeah. One more bar and I’m going to take you is ninja bar. The where the you can drink the sake and the ninja serves drink and something is wait hold on. Um really uh so my favorite they just came this is tomato tomato with salt. I mean like in usually you have my own in it but my recommended my recommended way to eat is uh just this one and put a little salt. This is the best way to eat. tomato. So actually here in the the hop street sometimes they share the table with strangers and then this is how I met him. Ah yeah Mr. tomato. My name is Nice to meet you. I like a combo. Yeah. They hope you know. So like this is like kind of vibe in a hobby street that you can drink with you know just new people like this. Hi man. Hop man. Yeah, definitely come to Hobby Street. So yesterday this place is closed because of like I didn’t research but after tour first it’s not going to happen for sure. So you’re going to go either uh Ninja or you’re going to go to one of two places in a hobby street whatever. It depends like you know uh the vibe of the group and kind of stuff. So this tour you definitely go to the yakin like ai place and after that it’s more like a go and if you want to train in a hobby street and maybe like a guy who will take you to hobby street and maybe one and after that ninja bar or maybe two bars in a hobby street. So yeah this is actually like my kind of original tour. It’s always a blow kind of stuff. I think they have like over maybe 200 maybe less but you know uh the kapake I think you can find your favorite sake for sure if you don’t like sake no worry they have normal menus like this he’s really friendly and accommodating and he does speak English I mean ninja All right. And we just launched our first Show Me Japan collabo tour with Macha Trip. Everything you saw in this video, the A5 Wagu, the Bahin, the whole local vibe, you can experience exactly same thing. I’ll be guiding some of the tour too. There’s also special show me Japan bonus item for people who join. So, and if you’re only interested in A5 course that I show in this video, you can book the show me Japan reservation only experience on its own. I put the details in the description, so you have to check it out too. All right, so we just done the drinking and uh we heading back home and uh thank you for watching to the end. So if you have any question, just let me know and you should definitely check out this tour and also other maj tour and we are going to ser like private custom tour as well. So stay tuned. Okay. Yay. So best food, best drink in tour. Yeah. Thank you. All right guys, see you guys next one. Cheers. Bye-bye.
